About Veritable Books
Veritable Books strives to be a voice for those seeking to uncover truth. A new indie publisher, we aim to help shine light in a world often filled with darkness. Our most recent book is by new author, Tracy Norris, called Shadows of Grief: Losing a Child to the Fentanyl Epidemic and Finding the Strength to Carry On.
Shadows of Grief poignantly details the challenges faced by a mother who loved, fought for, and tragically lost her child in the harrowing battle against addiction, particularly the highly searched-for substance, fentanyl. The tumultuous journey, fraught with ups, downs, fears, and terrors, is shared with unfiltered vulnerability, shedding light on the profound impact of addiction and child loss.
As a tribute to her son Marcus and his life, marked by the relentless fight against addiction, Shadows of Grief is set to be released on what would have been his 30th birthday. Norris extends a heartfelt invitation to readers to participate in this commemorative event, acknowledging her son’s life, his unique journey, and his valiant battle with addiction, particularly against the scourge of fentanyl.
Lauren Hunter’s most recent title is, Write Your Journey: A Step-by-Step Guide to Write Your Life Journey Fast, published in 2021. Launched in 2020, Veritable Book’s first title, by Lauren Hunter, was Leaving Christian Science: 10 Stories of New Faith in Jesus Christ.
Veritable Books Testimonials
Lauren is blessed to have worked with many dedicated, focused authors with busy professional careers. She specializes in developmental coaching, a combined approach to planning the books theme, reach, and scope alongside developmentally editing each chapter, throughout the book writing process. At the end of the book writer coaching term (usually between five to nine months depending on the length of the author’s book and the scope of coaching), the author comes away with a finished work that has gone through a deep developmental edit and is ready for copyediting or a combined copyedit with line edit.
Lauren is available to white glove the final phases of the book publishing process for those interested in a concierge-style approach to self-publishing. For others, Lauren is able to hand over the reigns and coach through the self-publishing process to those on a tighter budget with more DIY energy on their hands.
